Christian Education Hours

[9:20 – 10:25 am] We have practiced “Safe Sanctuaries” policies & procedures in our C.E. department since 2002.  However, we have updated our policies and are implementing some changes.  We ask that parents please do not drop your students off for C.E. prior to 9:15 if you are unable to supervise them.  We do not want children unoccupied or unsupervised, and often many of the C.E. team members are still attending church service at 9:00.  We do make every attempt to arrive in C.E. as soon as possible, but want to be safe.  Thanks for your cooperation with this.

Also, upon pick up, please meet your students at their breakout rooms.  Again for safety, without prior permission, we will not allow students to leave C.E. without an adult or older sibling.  If you have questions or concerns regarding these policies, please contact Renee Zintz.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION NEWS

We hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas Program “A Mouse’s Tale”.  The students enjoy doing the programs with some humor.   If you have comments or suggestions, please talk with one of the C.E. Team members.

Thank you to those who gave gifts to teachers & helpers.  It was nice to have a fun party day after Jesus’ Birthday Party.  A good time had by all.

We’ll continue with the same curriculum into the new year.  We’re learning a lot and it’s fun to teach.

Penny Wars -

On Jan. 8th we will have DOUBLE BIBLE BUCKS, be sure to come to C.E. so you can get your bucks.  Also, another note regarding the Salvation Store, we are doing a penny war.  The class with the most pennies will be going to the store first and so on.  The pennies collected will be given to Feed My Starving Children project.

Reminder –

Please pick your students up from their breakout rooms.  We have closing for a short time and they return to their rooms to get their coats & projects from the day.  If you’d like to join us for closing, you are welcome to stand in the back of the room.

FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN CHALLENGE-
We’ve challenged the students if they filled an M&M tube with quarters they would receive 20 Bible Bucks. Tubes maybe purchased in C.E. for $1.00, the student gets to eat the M&Ms and then fill the tube with quarters. A full tube ($14.00) will feed 56 children ($.24 per meal).

We will be encouraging the students to participate in the pack as well. Once we know when the pack will be, we’ll share that information with you.
