Living With Courage and Hope in Uncertain Times
Americans are anxious people! In a recent study, it was found that 1 in 5 of us has an anxiety disorder. Often, life events play a significant role in our worries and our fears. Not a week goes by that some new threat isn’t dominating the headlines. We wonder … Why are there so many tragedies? What will happen next?
Yes, we know that Jesus tells us, “Do not be afraid,” BUT with everything going on in the world how is it possible to not be anxious!? Fear wreaks havoc on our relationships and communities. It leads us into making bad decisions and holds us back from experiencing fulfillment and joy in our lives.
We will explore the worries and fears that most of us experience. We will also learn to identify fears and discover practical steps for overcoming them … all in the light of scripture and a faith that promises us again and again that we can live with courage and hope!
There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love . . . all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life. —John Lennon

Starting Oct. 7th for 5 weeks we’ll discover how to find calm in a chaotic world.
