Accomplishments

This year we sent one of our Stephen Ministers to St. Louis to receive national leadership training. This results in now having five nationally trained Stephen Leaders giving active leadership to our ministry. We have continued to have monthly leadership meetings to strategize ways to run the ministry smoothly. The leaders also have directed continuing education and supervision for the Stephen Ministers, on a twice monthly basis.

This year we have begun fifty hours of training, on a weekly basis, for three new Stephen Ministers. This will bring to sixteen the number of Stephen Ministers that have been trained by the current leadership. We held a Stephen Ministry emphasis worship service, at which time we held a dedication service for our new Stephen Leader. We also held an open house after the service, to recruit new ministers. We also continue to offer a “Journeying thru Grief” program, where we send a series of four books to those who have lost loved ones.
