What I especially like about Christmas is the reminder that Jesus was the light that came into a dark world and continues to light up our life and our world if we let it. It is also a reminder that we are not alone, and that God does, indeed, care!
“We all go through times when we feel as though we’re in a desert. It’s simply part of life, and it’s nothing to hide from. If you are in the badlands right now, hold on to these truths below. I hope they help you as much as they’ve helped me.
God says, ‘Don’t be afraid…. You’re mine. When you’re over your head, I’ll be there with you…. It won’t be a dead end’ (Isaiah 43:1-2).
I am God, your personal God….
I paid a huge price for you…. That’s how much I love you! (v.3)
You are precious and valued because He loves you. So often we fail to understand quite how valuable we are to God. We’re worth the price He paid: the death of His own Son, Jesus.
In all the struggles and difficulties of life, God has a plan for your future. He said, ‘I’m about to do something brand-new…. I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands’ (v. 19).
Just because we can’t see or feel God close to us, it doesn’t mean that He isn’t there, and it doesn’t mean that His plans have failed. The hope we have in Him is much bigger than anything we currently feel in simply our emotions. To many great men and women through the ages, Christ has been light to a dark path, strength to a failing body, and hope to a struggling mind.” (Bear Grylls, Soul Fuel)
May this Christmas be one in which your darkness is truly taken away by the light of Christ. Trust in God because God does, indeed, care. God bless and God’s got this. Merry Christmas and Peace Be With You 😊.
